The Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief Isaiah - Oswald Chambers and applications

The Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief Isaiah 53:3 - and the biggest injustice and lie in the universe.  My Utmost for His Highest. Oswald Chambers. June 23

We are not acquainted with grief in the way in which Our Lord was acquainted with it; we endure it, we get through it, but we do not become intimate with it. At the beginning of life we do not reconcile ourselves to the fact of sin. We take a rational view of life and say that a man by controlling his instincts, and by educating himself, can produce a life which will slowly evolve into the life of God. But as we go on, we find the presence of something which we have not taken into consideration, viz., sin, and it upsets all our calculations. Sin has made the basis of things wild and not rational.

We have to recognize that sin is a fact, not a defect; sin is red-handed mutiny against God. Either God or sin must die in my life. The New Testament brings us right down to this one issue. If sin rules in me, God’s life in me will be killed; if God rules in me, sin in me will be killed. There is no possible ultimate but that. The climax of sin is that it crucified Jesus Christ, and what was true in the history of God on earth will be true in your history and in mine. In our mental outlook we have to reconcile ourselves to the fact of sin as the only explanation as to why Jesus Christ came, and as the explanation of the grief and sorrow in life.

FURTHER IMPLICATIONS AND APPLICATIONS:

The Biblical fact is indeed that our sins have repeatedly killed the life of God, that is Jesus, in our lives and we will keep on killing Him if we keep on sinning. Jesus repeatedly said men, sinners, heathens, the nations, the Scribes, chief priests, elders, etc. will kill Him. (Luk_24:44-46, Luk_9:22, Luk_18:31-33; Mat_12:40, Mat_16:21, Mat_17:22-23, Mat_20:18-19, Mat_27:63; Mat_28:6; Mar_8:31, Mar_9:9-10, Mar_9:31-32, Mar_10:33-34). Isa 53:5  says “But He was wounded BECAUSE OF (min in Hebr.) OUR transgressions; He was bruised BECAUSE OF OUR iniquities;”  Mat 26:28  “For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed BECAUSE OF (Gr. Peri) MANY for the forgiveness and deliverance of sins.” Rom 4:25  “who was delivered BECAUSE OF (Gr. Dia) OUR offenses.” 1Pe 2:24  “He Himself BORE OUR SINS in His own body on the tree,” 1Pe 3:18  “For Christ also once suffered BECAUSE OF (Gr. Peri) sins,”  Rev 1:7  “Behold, He comes with the clouds, and EVERY EYE will see Him, and those who PIERCED HIM will see Him, and ALL the kindreds of the earth will wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.” All men and all sinners, including you and I, have killed our Creator God and Jesus with every sin! We have no excuse for sin. We are all damned.

The Holy Spirit of grace pleads with us in our consciences to look up to JESUS whom we have pierced and to weep bitterly over Him and to repent thoroughly – as we read in Zech 12:10 and Acts 2-4. If we listen to Him and we do this, He forgives us, He opens the mighty fountain of His blood that cleanses us from ALL sin and unrighteousness, and He promises us the HOLY SPIRIT. Then sin and backsliding can stop and we can stop killing Jesus. Zechariah 13:1-9, I Peter 2:24-25. Then we are born of God and we do not sin.

Isaiah 53:11 says through this knowledge of Him, that is knowing that He will bear our sins and iniquities and it will kill him if we sin, He will make us righteous.

Heb_9:22  says “without shedding of blood is no forgiveness or deliverance.” If we do not acknowledge and confess our guilt in Jesus' suffering, blood, and murder with deep repentance, there is no forgiveness or deliverance. Then sin remains for us only a "shortcoming" that everyone struggles with and something we must stay away from as hard as we can, but we will remain slaves to sin and Satan, and so we remain guilty of Jesus ' death — and go to hell. Without holiness, we are not going to see God and the soul that sins will surely die — because sin kills Jesus. God has this absolute standard because He knows Jesus can completely deliver and cleanse us from all sin and iniquity.

Friend, almost all “Christians” have been fatally and eternally deceived by Satan and by the false narrative of the mainstream and famous Chief Priests, Scribes, Pharisees, pastors, theologians, preachers, etc. They lied to us and even changed and misinterpreted the Scriptures to say that Jesus died FOR us, that God punished Him in our place, that He paid the penalty for our sin, that God sees us as justified and we are therefore “saved” and we will surely not die - but we were sinning, committing murder on Jesus, absolving ourselves, blaming and blaspheming God, and going to hell - whilst being told and believing we will surely not die! This lie and deception is infinitely worse than the Covid Plandemic and the poisonous jabs, but it is near totally censored. The Scriptures clearly say, anyone who sins or who believes he will surely not die if he sins, or who believes he is “saved” despite sinning, is dead, is deceived, is of the devil, is a slave of Satan and does not know God. If you censor and deny this, you will never find the truth, forgiveness or deliverance and you will die in your sins.

OUR SINS GRIEVE AND MURDER JESUS AND GOD IN OUR LIVES! CONFESS IT, REPENT AND MAKE IT RIGHT – that you may be forgiven, be cleansed and delivered from your sins and may not die! SELA!
