LETTER TO NEIGHBOURS

                                                                              11 July 2023 e

Dear Neighbours,

We would like to personally visit you, but in the meantime, and to reach more people quicker, we drop you this note. Please read it, think about it - and be invited to meet with us.

OUR CREATOR AND FATHER’S GRIEF.

God is truly our holy, pure, righteous and loving heavenly Father and Creator. The whole creation, except sinning man, illustrates His glory and purity. Tragically, the Bible says our sins, lack of love, disobedience and rebellion are deeply grievous, crushing, painful, oppressive and burdensome to God.[1] It must indeed be very painful to Him if we do not regard Him for who He truly is, but we rather listen to our own little minds and / or the world and / or to a lying, stealing and murderous snake! The grief to God’s loving and holy heart and to His Holy Spirit is much deeper than the grief a naughty and rebellious child causes His earthly parents. Please pause and think about it! That is why we shall surely and deservedly die if we sin – as God said.

THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS OF JESUS:

To illustrate God’s heart to us, Jesus came from the bosom of the Father to deliver us from our sins and to win us back to God, but with every sin we rebel against, despise and reject Him. God then allowed all our sins against Him to finally fall on the body of Jesus on the cross – and our sins pierced, crushed and murdered Him! What we have done to the least and to His Word, we did to Him. On the cross of Jesus, we now see what our sins did and still do to our God, Father and Creator – we pierce, pain, martyr and kill Him![2]  Because of this, we all surely deserve the death penalty and eternal punishment in hell – if we continue in our sins.

FORGIVENESS, DELIVERANCE, CLEANSING:

BUT, God in His grace and mercy, is willing to forgive, deliver and cleanse us from our sins and from all the evil we did to Him - IF we remorsefully confess what we have done to Him, if we deeply repent, if we make right what we have done wrong, if we now receive Jesus to deliver and cleanse us from all our sins, if we get baptized / immersed in Him and if we live a new life. Then He promised to fill us with His Holy Spirit, that our sins may stop and we need not die.[3]

Seeing Jesus’ wounds, blood and death because of our sins should completely break our hearts, change us and win us over for God. Then we can truly die to sin, stop our idols, live for righteousness, be healed, stop going astray and He becomes our Shepherd and the Overseer of our souls – as the Scriptures say. This is what the Jews and Paul experienced in Acts and what radically transformed them. Then Acts 2-4, 1Pet 2:24-25 and Zech 12:10-13:9 will be fulfilled in us. We all need this transformation.

CONSIDER OUR FATHER & BE RECONCILED

As siblings of our one Father in heaven, we now reach out to you on His behalf.  Most people, like the Jews and all of us, do not know that our sins pierce and crush God and murder Jesus and that there is a terrible judgement if we should continue piercing and wounding Him. Please seriously consider the above, confess your sin, repent, turn to Him, be reconciled to Him and please do not grieve and crush Him in any way anymore. God only deserves our complete love, respect and obedience.

OBEDIENCE ONTO LIFE:

God and Jesus said: "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God."

THE GREAT COMMISSION:

Jesus’s last words, just before He ascended to heaven and by which we must now live, were:

Mat 28:18 – 20 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority is given to Me in Heaven and in earth. Therefore go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the world. Amen

Sinners reject, pierce and crucify Jesus. If we keep quiet, we are accomplices to Jesus’ murder and men’s blood will be required from our hands.[4] Through this Great Commission, Jesus also gives us the way to change and help our communities and the world. This is what was done in Acts 2, how it changed the world and how it reached us. We need to do the same if we want to do something about the evil around us.

JESUS’ LAST PRAYER FOR ONENESS AND UNITY:

Jesus’ other very important last words and prayer in John 17, before He was rejected and killed by rebels and sinners, were that we should be perfectly one as He and the Father are One, then the world will believe that God has sent Him. If we care for our Father in heaven and for others, we shall seriously endeavour to be one. What pleases any father tremendously, is if his children are one and endeavour by all means to be one – for his family’s sake. God and Jesus expressed the same.[5]

ONENESS LOCALLY:

This has to start amongst neighbours for the world to see this oneness. The world cannot see and does not see true oneness if neighbouring children of God do not even know each other and if they all split up and go and worship and try to be one with others in different churches far away. On the contrary, in not uniting locally but splitting in denominations, we grieve God, we are going against Jesus’ words, we are actually splitting and breaking the church, which is the body of Jesus and we make God’s words and best plan for us powerless. Sadly, many pastors love and allow it if we travel far to sit in their pews, listen to and are one with them – and if we contribute money and time there whilst bypassing our neighbours. So they are actually causing and maintaining the divisions, disunity and powerlessness of Jesus’ body. That is exactly what Judas did. We must repent from this.

FRUIT OF LOCAL ONENESS:

Eph 1:22  And He has put all things under His feet and gave Him to be Head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.  Just read it again. Amazing words! Consider what God can do through us and amongst us if we as a group of siblings of God meet and serve Him locally together in one united sanctified body of Christ, washed from our sins by His blood. Between us, God will give us the fullness of Him who fills all in all. He will provide everything the body / church needs!

STRUCTURE OF GATHERINGS:

If we now meet, we must meet as Jesus and God instructed in several passages e.g., Matt. 11:25, Mat 18:1 -6, Matt. 20:25-28, Mat 23:8-12, Mat 25:31 -46; Mar 9:35, Luk. 10:21, Luk_14:11, 22:24 –27, 1Cor 12-14. Please read these very carefully.  We MUST meet as God demands.

These Scriptures say: Jesus alone is the head, we are all brothers and members of His body, no one shall rule over others, no one takes titles, the one who serves and humbles himself like a child is greatest, the last and least are the greatest before God, what we do to the least, we do to Him, God hides His wisdom from the learned and reveals it to the lowly, the weakest are more necessary, He gives greater honour to the dishonourable to ensure equal care and prevent schisms, God gives each member gifts for the benefit of His body / church / fellowship, we are to seek above all AGAPE (godly love), without godly love we only make a noise and we profit nothing, all are to seek God’s gifts and especially the gift to prophesy (preach God’s mind and will), all are encouraged and allowed to prophesy and two or three prophesy at a gathering and the others judge the speaker (No one-man and one-band shows). If this is done, we will then experience 1Cor 14:24-25 and Acts 2-4, i.e. revival!

In 1Cor 14 Paul says that if we are prophets or spiritual, we will acknowledge that these are the commandments of God and if we ignore this, God will ignore us. Very serious words indeed. Tragically, most churches, gatherings and their pastors ignore these commands of God and God ignores them. This is a big reason for the apostacy, lukewarmness, worldliness and lack of true Biblical life in many churches.
